We were in the king room with climate control, pay television and a laptop-size safe.

Our stay there was great. Rooms and hotel are very clean. Not far from the downtown, 10 minutes on foot. Our kudos go to valet for the hospitality!

Worth its 4 stars. This hotel was brilliant place for exploring Roanoke, appreciated it. There is restaurant The Pine Room Pub at the premises. All staff members are friendly. In addition, free Wi Fi was a plus.
Our bed was very uncomfortable.

I enjoyed the history of the hotel. They did a great job of preserving certain parts of the hotel, while at the same time, creating a comfortable environment.

EVERYTHING WAS GREAT, EXCEPT (SEE NEXT BOX)
FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN'T DRINK MILK, THEY SHOULD ALSO SERVE SOY OR ALMOND MILK IN THE MORNING FOR BREAKFAST.

loved that you could easily walk to the downtown area of Roanoke.
Pool was a little small, probably because it was 97 degrees that day and everyone wanted in.

Excellent hotel. Felt very historic and special. Very smart surroundings, elegant didning room and friendly bar. Public rooms all well decorated and feel sumptuous. Bedroom large and with excellent shower in bathroom. Enjoyed the swimming pool to cool off on very hot evening. Location makes it easy to walk into town centre. Staff all helpful and accommodating.
Charge for car parking. Not much but still irritating that a charge is made for those staying overnight. Couldn't it be included in room rate?

The whole hotel was very lovely. The service is exceptional.
The restaurant was very disappointing. Good appetizers but both entrees were overcooked. The waiter was nice but totally untrained and inexperienced.

The classical style of the hotel was charming.
The hotel would not accept a pre-paid travel card, even though it was a mastercard.?

The breakfast buffet was very nice and all of the staff were very kind and hospitable!
We did not get the room we reserved for our first night because they overbooked for a couple wedding parties. But, they made an accommodation to fix the issue to our satisfaction.

The hotel is beautiful, has a nice gym and the staff was great. The room was clean, and the bedding was very comfortable. Great location - within walking distance of downtown Roanoke with restaurants, museums, etc. Within 10 miles of a very nice mall, more restaurants and a movie theater.
I couldn't believe there was neither a mini fridge nor a microwave in the room. They charge $15 per night for fridges and microwaves. The other thing that bothered me was the $8 fee/day parking fee. There's plenty of space for parking on site, so I don't understand the parking fees.

The staff was very accommodating. I was staying at the hotel for a wedding and needed to check in early. I called the hotel and asked if this was possible. I spoke with Ashley in reception and she was very helpful and was able to get me checked in in the morning. The room was very comfortable. Overall a great experience.
